Jamaican footballer Raheem Sterling, who plays for the Liverpool Football Club in England, has added the job of music producer to his resume.
Sterling has teamed up with up-and-coming dancehall artists The Rizing and Dotta Coppa to produce a track called "Young Ghetto Star." The song is based on young Sterling's rise to success.
Raheem who was born in the inner city community of Maverley is seen as an inspiration to the youths in his community. The Rizing said the song tells the listeners that with hard work they can be anything they want to be.
The track is slated to be released under the Raheem Music label later this month. Sterling told reporters "As long as the music that they are doing is good music, I will endorse it. I have good followers on my Twitter account, so I will also promote songs from my label through that. I am from Maverley and I will help others if I can."
