Lescott to 'address' Manchester City condition at end of period - Yahoo! Sports

Lescott was an everyday member of Roberto Mancini's staff during their Premier League title-winning campaign in 2011-12 but has been unseated by Matija Nastasic lately. The 30-year-old, who partnered John Terry at Euro 2012, was initially overlooked of Roy Hodgson's team to manage San Marino and Montenegro but received a after Michael Dawson and Rio Ferdinand withdrew from the staff. "If you'd asked me a year ago what my chances were of earning the World Cup [2014] squad then I had have said, 'Yeah, very good,'" Lescott told reporters. "But you do not know. I think I'll be there if I can play more frequently at team level then. He added, "Towards the conclusion of the season, I'll handle that [situation at City]. However for now, I'm completely dedicated to England and what England have to do." Lescott was confident that his lack of playing time wouldn't be described as a problem if he is chosen to manage Montenegro on Tuesday having completed 90 minutes against San Marino. "I have not been playing up to I had like needless to say but I've confidence within my ability," he explained. "I haven't been wounded because I've not been playing and I sense sharp enough to adjust to such a thing they offer." Follow GOAL.COM on Twitter
