WWE Extreme Rules 2013: Preview and Predictions from B/R's Evolution

GSM: It's sad to see The Miz go from headlining Extreme Rules in 2011 to being relegated to the pre-show two years later. However, it wouldn't be the first time, as he contended for the United States Championship against Santino Marella in the pre-show of last year's event.

His match against Cody Rhodes hardly has any build at all, but I still expect a good match from this two. Both young guns are great in-ring workers and should have a nice little match if given enough time. Miz just recently returned, and Rhodes has been irrelevant for the longest time, so I predict a victory for The Awesome One.

SiD: In the pre-show of the evening, The Miz will face Cody Rhodes. Surprisingly, the WWE is burying these superstars by not giving them an actual storyline, and while The Miz can go and film movies, Rhodes will be stuck losing to upper mid-card stars like Randy Orton and Sheamus.

Therefore, my prediction is that Cody Rhodes wins this bout, so that The Miz can go and film movies and Rhodes can have a legit push (or, knowing WWE, he could be buried more). Hopefully, Cody Rhodes wins the Intercontinental Championship or the Money in the Bank this year, since he does deserve it as one of the best talents on the roster.

Fisher: As much as I hate this, the Miz will make Rhodes tap, brother. Because, brother, Vince doesn't know good talent, brother. Rhodes is a bona-fide superstar, brother, while Miz is riding off coat-tails set by Ric Flair two months ago, brother. Do us all a favor, brother, go back to movies and out of the way of a real talent.
