ESPN Wants To generate a Late-Night Talk Show, Together with Made A Run For Seth Meyers.

As you know, Seth Meyers is taking on the 12: 30 g. m. talk show slit from Jimmy Fallon next year, when Fallon moves straight into take over The This evening Show. But Meyers, the head writer and Weekend News anchor on SNL, experienced another talk show give to mull before saying yes to NBC (and who says yes to NBC with no thinking it over, complicated? ). That offer originated from ESPN.

Yes, ESPN wants to enter into the late-night talk exhibit business, and Meyers ended up being the network's first solution. He said no, according to Jason McIntyre of Your Big Lead, who talked with ESPN president John Skipper to sort it out recently. Meyers was apparently interested, but preferred this NBC job. But greater news is, ESPN is going to do a talk show?

That network gets big reviews with sports programming, together with SportsCenter. And after a 11 p. m. SportsCenter … it's a rerun of SportsCenter. So just why not a late-night talk show? How hard do you find it to pull that out of?

Very hard. Just demand Arsenio Hall, Chevy Chase, Pat Sajak, Joey Bishop, Joe Thicke, Joe Namath, Magic Johnson … the user gets the idea. Even Conan O'Brien got clobbered with the ratings when he primary started at NBC, nevertheless network kept him around using stubbornness until things better.

My first thought is usually that ESPN should try something new: the talk show around its present form but has existed forever (I believe Aristotle hosted the pioneer one) without much associated with a makeover. But absent that will, this could work … along with the right host. Here tend to be our suggestions:

Lang Whitaker Bulls cut it to 9 on a 3 from Nate, and Joakim Noah got T'd up after getting confused with Battier on a rebound. #AmexNBA

Beckley Builder Good out of timeout participate in call from Spo at this time there: "OK, pass to LeBron. LeBron, you run really fast and make an attempt to score. "
